WW2 US Omaha Beach - D-Day - Photographs

Here we have 13 private original photographs of an infantry unit heading to Omaha Beach in Normandy sometime in the days after D-Day. The majority of the pictures have written notes on the back explaining the picture, which were done by the vet in Period.

The bunker in the picture is WN65 at St Laurent sur Mer, made famous by the well published pictures of the 2nd Infantry Division coming off the beach.

Normandy, D-Day photographs very rarely come onto the market.
